Born 1992 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Hercegovina, based in Vienna. At the young age of four years he began to show his excitement for the accordion. He had his first stage performance when he was six.
2010 he graduated music school with excellent grades in class of prof. Midhat Zulic. At the Anton Brückner University in Linz he continued his music education in class of prof. Alfred Melichar.
With Duo Presto founded in 2016 he became a member of LIVE Music Now, an organization founded by Yehudi Menuhin, which has allowed him to get new impressions and to convert them into his interpretations.
Professionally, Anel had the privilege to perform with many extraordinary musicians including Claude Manach, who brought him closer to the world of French Chanson. The newly found passion for this wonderful music led to the establishment of their trio named A Propos. A very influencing period for him was sharing the stage with Alp Bora til the end of his career.
Anel is a highly talented, international soloist which is why he is an active member in various ensembles and projects such as Square Waltz, Sevkas Derman, Fakat Combo, Duo Presto, A Propos, Live Music Now, Marietta's Salon "Les Artistes".
In 2019 he started to work alongside the very respected actor/regisseur Thomas Declaude in cooperation with the theater group RE-ACTORS Vienna.
The blend of his passion for traditional Balkan music, Gipsy rhythms and the discipline of classical music inspire him for his virtuosic improvisations in Jazz, Tango, modern and Klezmer- music.
Anel performed on many famous stages such as Vienna Konzerthaus, Burgtheater, Brucknerhaus, Porgy & Bess, The Hofburg and appeared on radio and television stations like ORF, ARD, Radio Ö1, Radio Judaica Strasbourg, HRT1 & RTVSLO for example.
2018 he graduated as the first Jazzaccordionist in Austria ever at Jam Music Lab University Vienna in the class of prof. Zoltan Migovics. Besides live performance, he composes and arranges music and works as a producer in his own music studio in Vienna and started his Label Anel Records.
